Environmental Philosophy

As a member of the MGC Group, we will contribute to the creation of a rich natural environment to pass on to the next generation and the development of a sustainable society for the future through environmentally conscious activities.

Environmental Policy

1.Improvement of environmental impact

Leveraging the characteristics of a technology-oriented trading company specializing in chemicals, we will contribute to improving environmental impact through the provision and proposal of environmentally beneficial products and services.

2.Compliance

We will observe laws and ordinances related to our business activities as well as other requirements of interested parties.

3.Promotion of activities to conserve energy and resources

We will work to conserve energy and resources by effectively utilizing our management resources and achieving effective and efficient operations.

4.Continuous improvement

We will establish environmental objectives and targets associated with our business activities, work on their achievement, and tie them into continuous improvement of our Environmental Management System through business activities that take environmental conservation into account.

5.Publishing of environmental policy

Our environmental policy will be made known within the Company and presented to interested parties.

Compliance

Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Trading, Inc. defines compliance as observing laws, company regulations, social norms, etc. and recognizing our corporate social responsibility as we conduct fair, transparent, and open business activities.
As such, we believe that having interested parties report or consult about compliance related violations or inappropriate activities by the Company’s officers and employees is essential for us to engage in activities as a social entity and have therefore established a Compliance Consultation Desk.

  • The Company’s officers/employees and their families and temporary employees
  • Employees from companies with which we do business

2.Scope

Cases in which “Reportable Facts” as defined in Article 2 Paragraph 3 of the Whistleblower Protection Act have occurred or could potentially occur

4.Response to reports/consultations

  • We will investigate the facts based on the report or consultation and take the necessary corrective action. We will also provide feedback to the whistleblower.

5.Other

  • In principle, we do not accept anonymous reports or consultations. If there are unavoidable circumstances and you wish to remain anonymous, please provide the reason.
  • As set forth in the Whistleblower Protection Act, whistleblowers will not be subjected to unfair treatment as a result of using the consultation desk.
  • We will not respond to inappropriate reports or consultations such as simple slander, baseless accusations or harassment.
